Invariance Control of Noncascade Nonlinear Systems

چکیده
This paper addresses the problem of controlling a state space region positively invariant while guaranteeing asymptotic stability for a class of nonlinear noncascade systems. Therefore a nonsmooth feedback controller is developed, achieving dissipa-tivity of the linear subsystem. This in turn allows switching of a control parameter of an additional asymptotic stabilizing control law. The freedom to switch is used to guaranty invariance of a suitable state space region. A design method for this switching controller and an appropriate invariance region is presented. Simulations of a peaking, noncascade nonlinear system show the performance of the Invariance Controller.

An invariance principle for nonlinear switched systems
In this paper we address the problem of extending La Salle Invariance Principle to switched system. We prove an extension of the invariance principle relative to dwell-time switched solutions, and a second one relative to constrained switched systems.
متن کاملInvariance principles for switching systems via hybrid systems techniques
Invariance principles for hybrid systems are used to derive invariance principles for nonlinear switching systems with multiple Lyapunov-like functions. Dwell-time, persistent dwell-time, and weak dwell-time solutions are considered. Asymptotic stability results are deduced under further observability assumptions or common bounds on the Lyapunov-like functions.
متن کاملAn extension of LaSalle's invariance principle for switched systems
This paper addresses invariance principles for a certain class of switched nonlinear systems. We provide an extension of LaSalle’s Invariance Principle for these systems and state asymptotic stability criteria. We also present some related results that deal with the compactness of the trajectories of these switched systems and that are interesting by their own.
متن کاملLocal Feedback Dissipativity through Energy Invariance and Feedback Losslessness Properties in Nonlinear Discrete-time Systems
Sufficient conditions under which a class of nonlinear discrete-time systems which are non-affine in the control input and the states can be rendered locally dissipative are derived. Two methodologies in order to render nonlinear single-input single-output discrete-time systems locally dissipative are given. Dissipativity is seen as a “perturbation” of the storage energy invariance or the feedb...
متن کاملLaSalle Invariance Principle for Discrete-time Dynamical Systems: A Concise and Self-contained Tutorial
As a method to establish the Lyapunov stability of differential/difference equations systems, the LaSalle invariance principle was originally proposed in the 1950’s and has become a fundamental mathematical tool in the area of dynamical systems and control. In both theoretical research and engineering practice, discrete-time dynamical systems have been at least as extensively studied as continu...
